Toni Finnimore
Toni Finnimore is a community builder, writer, and the founder of The Social Society, a volunteer and events community that makes giving back simple, social, and actually enjoyable.
With over 20 years of experience working across charities, government, businesses, and grassroots groups, Toni designs projects rooted in one core belief: human connection creates change. In 2019, she founded The Social Society to challenge the idea that volunteering has to be dusty, dutiful, or involve a broom.
Her work brings people together through festivals, workshops, and shared experiences that feel more like an epic day out than a spreadsheet. She believes kindness and humour are essential community tools, and that Julie Andrews-style joy never hurt anyone. When not building communities, she lives by the sea, walking the coast in all weathers, occasionally swapping strategy meetings for cold-water swims.
